The lake is undoubtedly the most special feature of this home. Geese and beaver, and even an occasional otter, pass by on most days, and the forest birds love to come to the Cascara tree by the dock. You can often see a variety of local birdlife including towhees, junkos, finches, jays, and sparrows, and it is always a special treat when the redwinged blackbirds come for a visit. Eagles, hawks and, on rare occasions, osprey, can be seen hovering over the lake.
A five-minute drive takes you to the ocean at Manson’s Lagoon, or to downtown Manson’s Landing where you can do your grocery shopping or go out for dinner at the restaurant.
