Experience something different. Enjoy your holiday in the comfort of this quaint floathouse. Situated over Whaletown Lagoon the Floathouse offers peace and quiet with all the comforts of a modern home. At low tide you can explore the lagoon (bring gum boots!) and when the tide is up you have the ocean right under your deck. The water in the Lagoon is nice and warm for swimming as the tide comes in over the hot sand.

For the kayakers or boaters there is a dock near the Floathouse that is shared with the owners. You can moor your boat in Whaletown Bay and easily walk to your vacation home. The Whaletown Post Office, the Government dock, and the Gorge Harbour Marina & Store are all an easy walk away. Kayakers can keep their kayaks right in front of the Floathouse and even if the tide is out you can haul your kayaks to the bay. The waters in this area are perfect for day tripping in kayaks with many areas to explore.

The large open combined living space has vaulted ceilings and lots of windows and offers seating for up to 10 guests or more! There are books and CD’s and a DVD player provided for your enjoyment. The glass door opens onto the private deck. The kitchen has an electric stove, fridge, microwave plus many small appliances. There is a washer and dryer plus bathroom with shower. The cozy bedroom is set up with a double bed and the living room futons fold out into queen beds.

| The Floathouse is situated at the waters edge and is private from the main home on the property. There is also a sweet sleeping cabin available for rent on this property (see listing Whaletown Lagoon Sleeping Cabin). Well mannered, friendly dogs are considered and there is a resident dog on the property. The Floathouse is not suitable for toddlers. All rates are based on a weekly rental and 2 guests.
Maximum of 6 guests.
*For additional guests there is an extra charge of $25 per guest per night unless otherwise noted.
*The Floathouse is on the same property as the lagoon sleeping cabin so additional sleeping accommodation is available on site
