Manson's Lagoon Heritage Home

Named for the current owner’s great-grandfather and built by her grandfather, this Cortes Island heritage home was built in 1940 with a broad axe by Buster Christensen who was trained to cut railway ties in the B.C. interior. Built in a typical eastern Canadian style, it has unique dovetail corners. Over the years, the house has been updated with all the modern facilities we now expect. But the original charm has been enhanced by mature gardens, a massive fig tree, and many ornamentals and perennials which reach down to the very edge of Manson's Lagoon.  You can soak in a traditional claw foot tub overlooking the garden, entranced by the beauty and tranquility of the natural world.
