Otter Point Villa is set on a private 3-acre peninsula surrounded by gorgeous shoreline and stunning views of Gorge Harbour.
The harbour is actually a large (approximately 2 mile long) landlocked saltwater lake. It is connected to the waters of the Desolation Sound region by a small protected and navigable “passage”. This area is truly a kayaker’s paradise. If the wind is up, launch your small boat or kayak on your own launch area and explore the hidden coves and ancient pictographs on the cliffs that guard the entrance to the Gorge. In fair weather, leave the Gorge and explore adjacent Marina Island with its sandy Shark Spit and the west side of Cortes, the quiet side.
Having operated for many years as a Bed & Breakfast, this home is well-designed for accommodating large groups. Most of the bedrooms have their own private bathroom, and they are all cozy, bright, attractive and welcoming, with doors leading to the outdoor decks and gorgeous views.
There is also a large room downstairs that can serve as a playroom, a yoga space, dance area, or even an extra sleeping space for larger groups. The kitchen overlooks the dock and is spacious and well-equipped for preparing and enjoying family or group meals, with additional dining space outside on the deck. The living room has a wonderful view of the Gorge Harbour with desk space for the guest who needs to do any paperwork! The dock is available for registered rental guests only at no extra charge for a maximum of two boats. If guests have personal visitors with boats and there is room, visitors may tie up to the dock for a fee.
