This is a traditionally built coastal log cabin, not a contemporary log kit house. You will feel a sense of peace and place that comes form a simpler time. 
Many families come back to this cabin year after year as their kids grow up. Couples looking for a quiet retreat also enjoy it (and at least one book has been started here!)
The cabin is set off from the main house and has its own sense of privacy. The main room has an open plan and provides kitchen, dining and living room. The overall feel is rustic but the cabin provides all the basic amenities we have come to expect. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with twin beds.
Fernwood has a large wrap-around deck with a lovely view that is hard to leave. A barbecue and a glass of wine would be a great way to get ready for a delicious evening meal in one of the most beautiful places on the north pacific coast. more photos
